Our missionA therapy space made for all of you. No need to hold back — we invite all of it. You’re welcome here.
At Rainbow Connection Counseling Collective, we believe the therapeutic relationship is most powerful when you don’t have to translate yourself and can enter a space where you are already understood. Our clinicians are BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ identified — bringing lived experience alongside expert clinical training.
We provide queer and affirming therapy that incorporates your identities, culture, and values directly into the healing space. Whether you’re navigating trauma, relationships, gender, or simply trying to feel more like yourself — we meet you exactly where you are.
✓No need to explain LGBTQ+ lived experiences to your therapist
There’s a reason clients say therapy here feels unlike anywhere they’ve been before.
01
Genuine Connection and Lived Experience, Not Just Allyship
Our therapists are BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ identifying. We don’t just support your community — we’re part of it. That lived experience changes everything about the therapeutic relationship.
02
No Code-Switching Required
Bring your full self. You won’t spend valuable session time explaining your identities, language, culture, or relationships. We already understand — and we build from there.
03
Expert Training + Real Experience
Licensed across multiple states and trained in IBCT, sex therapy, and trauma-informed care, our clinicians combine rigorous training with authentic shared experience for genuinely effective care.
04
Accessible & Convenient
100% online therapy means you can get care from wherever you feel most comfortable and safe. No waiting rooms, no commutes — just connection.
05
Intentionally Inclusive
Gay, straight, queer, questioning, nonbinary, trans, BIPOC — everyone is truly welcome. Our healing space honors every identity without hierarchy or condition.
06
Intimate & Personalized
Therapy here is a genuinely relational experience. We center the client-therapist relationship as the primary vehicle for healing — not just a backdrop for techniques.
Private Pay Therapy
Your care, on your terms
Paying privately puts you — not an insurance company — in charge of your care: what goes on record, who you see, and how the work unfolds.
Sex & intimacySome conversations don’t belong in an insurance file.Sex therapy asks you to talk about things you may never have said out loud — desire, kink, erectile concerns, relationship agreements. Paying privately keeps that conversation between you and your therapist.Explore gay & queer sex therapy →
Your privacy stays yoursWhen you pay privately and don’t submit for reimbursement, no diagnosis is required to begin and no insurer reviews your records. You decide what goes on file.
A specialist you chooseYour options aren’t limited to your plan’s network list. Choose a clinician for their training and lived experience — including an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist who shares your community.
Your pace, your formatNo insurer session limits or approvals. You and your therapist decide how often you meet, how long you continue, and how long sessions run — including 90-minute couples sessions.
How payment worksWe’ll go over fees for your clinician and service during your free consultation — before you commit to anything.
Want to use insurance? Many plans reimburse part of the fee through out-of-network benefits. Submitting a superbill shares a diagnosis with your insurer, so whether to use it is your choice. Harry Dixon is our only clinician in-network with Cigna.
Founder
A letter from our founder
Why I started Rainbow Connection Counseling Collective
The first time I saw a therapist, I was in college. She was a lovely, well-intentioned White Christian woman, and I could feel her compassion and care. But therapy with her always felt incomplete. There were parts of me I didn’t think she would — or could — understand: my Korean heritage, and certainly not the gay identity I was still keeping hidden.
She wasn’t the last therapist I’d feel that way with. When I moved to Seattle, I found a straight White male therapist, thinking maybe the gender of my therapist was the issue. The disconnect was still there.
Over time, I realized that clients like me needed a space of our own — a place where you can feel that your clinician truly gets you, where you can be seen and held in all that you are, without wondering whether your therapist will understand. A place where you can bring up questions about your sexuality, your gender, your culture, and your mental health without hesitation, and know that all of it is welcome here.
That’s why I built Rainbow Connection Counseling Collective. As our collective grows, every clinician who joins us shares that commitment.
